Beginner Stained Glass Course with Becky

This is a 12 hour hands-on course that meets on 4 consecutive Wednesdays from 5:30-8:30pm. The cost is $350 total. You will pay a $200 deposit now for this course, and an additional $150 materials fee for your tools and supplies directly to the instructor on the first day of class in CASH, CARD, OR ZELLE ONLY. ***You are buying these tools -- they are yours to keep!***

All of the basic techniques of stained glass construction in the copper foil (a.k.a. Tiffany) method will be covered. Participants will learn all of the steps of making a stained glass piece including safety, pattern creation and use, glass selection, glass scoring and breaking, grinding, foiling, soldering, and finishing. Participants will leave with a beginner's set of tools and supplies and an approximately 8" x 8" stained glass project they create themselves. Participants will chose from a selection of stained glass patterns designed for beginners at the first class meeting. The $350 course fee includes a kit of essential tools and “getting-started” supplies that participants will use for the duration of the course and keep when it is over to continue creating at home. Additional glass and supplies can be purchased from the instructor if necessary.

PLEASE WEAR CLOSED TOED SHOES, LONG PANTS, and A CRAFT APRON/OLD SHIRT. 

BRING A BOX OF AT LEAST 30 GOOD-FITTING DISPOSABLE GLOVES, AND EYE PROTECTION if you do not normally wear glasses.

**We will be using sharp glass, lead, extremely high heat, and potentially toxic chemicals. Those under the age of 16 should not sign up for this course. Thank you.**
