This week we hosted three classes with the Stephan Center for the "Healing Through Art" Program. Classes were taught by Kathryn Duncan (painting) and Becky Floyd (polymer clay treasure boxes).
This program is a partnership with the Stephan Center to host free art classes to children and youth to explore feelings of loss and grief continues on the fourth Tuesday and Wednesday of the month through June. Our Maxine Piester Memorial Art Scholarship application is now available. Each spring, we award scholarships to CNUSD graduating seniors who will be majoring in some form of visual arts in college. The Corona Art Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community arts organization that has been serving the artistic needs of our communities since your participation in our events and donations help us to continue to support visual arts education and enjoyment for free or low-cost to residents of all ages and abilities. We especially need donations to our Adaptive Art classes for kids and adults with special needs. These are taught at the Corona Library 100% by volunteers.
