Get your tickets to the Ball!

Our 2024 Beaux Arts Ball fundraising gala is quickly approaching! You don't want to miss this magical night of Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass inspired art and entertainment. Co-sponsored by the City of Corona, the Ball will be held on Saturday, October 26th at the Circle City Center at 365 N. Main St. from 6-10pm

  • An amazing BBQ menu will be provided by Norco's FIRE 150 Grill and Fry, with smoked tri-tip, pulled pork, grilled polish sausage, mac & cheese, spring greens salad, coleslaw, and cornbread fritters.

  • A variety of delightful desserts will be provided by local bakers and confectioners.

  • Our no-host wine and beer bar will also be stocked with water and a variety of sodas.

  • DJ Jake will be supplying the music, including dance favorites from across the decades, interactive fun, and seasonally spooky haunts.

  • Come dressed in wonderland-inspired costumes or Black-Tie attire.

  • CAA artists have created curious and magical decor, some of which will be auctioned off at the Ball!

  • An interactive photo Scavenger Hunt will have you haunting the venue looking for items, competing with other partiers for prizes.

  • Queen's Flamingo Croquet anyone? Oh yes, you know it!

  • The Wine Ring Toss will feature your chance to win fabulous and festive wines.

  • Win a splendid dessert on our Cake Walk from Corona's finest bakers and confectioners, including Tasteful Cakes and Baker's Dozen Donuts.

  • Art and premium gift baskets filled with irresistible items will be offered to win in a silent auction.

Recent Events:


August 24-25 we held an art show for our current and former adult students of CAA Member, Mary Lou Wallace's, Explorations in Painting and Drawing class. It was great fun to see their artwork on display in the gallery for friends and family to enjoy. Many of Mary Lou's students have gone on to become active members in CAA and regularly exhibit their work in our bimonthly art shows.

Sunday Funday is when the CAA gallery is open for working on low-key planned projects or just hanging out. Over the last few months we've hosted movies, had sewing sessions, alcohol inks exploration, squeegee painting, and more! CAA-member, Leanna G. hosts "Fabulous Framing" on the first Sundays, as well, if you need framing guidance. Check our website and social media channels often to see what is on tap!





 

September 28th saw our 2nd annual Fall-O-Ween BOOtique arts and crafts fair showcasing CAA members fall and Halloween inspired arts and crafts. Many of these items (and so much more!) are still in the Gallery Gift Shop for purchase.



 

On Thursday, Sept. 26, 2nd VP Kim Mabon hosted a chunky knit pumpkin class in the gallery. The class was so successful, she's offering another one on Nov. 7. Sign up today!





 

On Saturday, October 12, CAA President Becky Floyd and CAA Members Pam Lohman and Paula Munoz welcomed about 200 kids and parents into the gallery to partake in free spooky arts and crafts and get a treat as part of the City's Halloweekend community event. Thank you to our candy donors and volunteers for making this event successful once again!



 

Opportunities for Members:

  • Members, please consider serving on the Board of Officer's and Directors:

    • Positions up for election: 1st Vice President, Treasurer, and Elected Director At Large. Also, several appointed directorships are available. Please reach out to Karen Runion (Election Committee Coordinator) if you can throw your hat into the ring!

    • Elections will be held at the Nov. 12, 2024 General Meeting.


  • Tuesdays 10am-12pm: Adaptive Art Class for those with special needs 14+. CAA member-artist Diane Archuletta hosts the FREE adaptive arts class every week to over 70 teens and adults with cognitive disabilities. But she cannot do it alone! Diane needs your help to keep this program running. If you can spare some time to help, just drop by the FAM room before class starts at 10am.

Our bimonthly art shows occur in odd-numbered months (January, March, May, July, September, and November). Take-In/Take-Out is held the weekend after the General Meeting.

Reminders...

  • Business hours are Thursdays - Sundays 12-4pm.

    • Subject to volunteer staffing availability. Closed on all major and minor Holidays.


  • Recurring meetings pattern:

    • Board meetings are always the 1st Tuesday of the month at 6pm.

    • General meetings are always the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6pm.

    • Art show take-in/take-out is the weekend after the general meetings in odd months.

    • The artist reception is the Saturday after take-in at 6pm.

  • Our Gallery Gift Shop is stocked with CARDS, GIFTS and DECOR! All handcrafted by CAA member artists. A portion of the proceeds supports our community arts mission!

The Corona Art Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community arts organization that has been serving the artistic needs of our communities since your participation in our events and donations help us to continue to support visual arts education and enjoyment for free or low-cost to residents of all ages and abilities. Thank you.

  • We especially need donations to our Adaptive Art classes for kids and adults with special needs. These are taught at the Corona Library 100% by volunteers. Please email us at admin@coronaartassociation.org if you can help.
