CAA painted a mural at 1156 E. Grand Blvd in Corona's Historic District the last weekend in April. The family asked us to paint a mural reflecting Corona's heritage on their fence adjacent to the alley. This lemon tree design was created and painted by Lori and Laureen, with the assistance of CAA members Alex, Carol, and Becky. If you visit the mural, please have your picture taken with it and tag us @coronaartassociation when posting on social media.
If you're interested in having CAA paint a mural on your property, email laureen@coronaartassociation.org
Thanks again to CAA member Chris Frausto for running an truly inspiring Altered Books workshop on May1. Those in attendance had fantastic time creating pages of art from memories. Chris is also co-curator of the Art at the Ontario Airport program. If you are interested in learning more about altered books or having your art displayed at the airport, please reach out to Chris at RottenAppleLA@gmail.com.
Also on Saturday, May 1, CAA brought out a sampling of our Gallery Gift Shop to the Valencia Terrace "Sip and Shop" craft fair event. Thank you to everyone who helped set up and Janet, Mary Lou and Pat for staffing the booth!
We have two great workshops coming up.
First, on Saturday, May 22 and Sunday, May 23 from

Also on Saturday, May 22, from 3pm-6pm President Laureen will lead a porch leaner workshop. The cost is $25 for current CAA members, $30 for non-members. Workshop includes board, paint, letters/stencil only. Bring your own decorations/additions. For more info and to sing up go to:
CAA was able to raise enough funds this past year to award two $250 scholarships to CNUSD graduating high school seniors who will be studying art in college this fall. Graciela Eastridge of Santiago high school stopped by on May 8 with her mom to pick up her award. Congratulations!
And speaking of graduating seniors, we still need your art! All 2021 graduates are invited to stop by the gallery and pick up an art board so we can display your art and celebrate your achievement! Please do it soon, as we need to have them before the end of May!
